This is a shout out to our community of loved ones, our 'village', that has been with us through all the highs and lows of these past five plus years. As I reflect today on the passing of my brother four years ago, I realise I am again in need of some self care. Sadly, it's not my incredible insightfulness or self-awareness that brings me to this realisation, but rather my body screaming at me to STOP.
As I pause long enough to reflect on recent years, I realise the enormity of its impact and the grace He has bestowed. Although painful, the memories that flood my thoughts and dreams, today my heart is full of gratitude for the opportunity to love and be loved by such an incredible human being, and for all God has done in my life over this time.
The passage has been difficult, but as we journeyed through this season, of what at times felt like ‘hell’ on earth, we have encountered miracles upon miracles clothed in Gods glory. What this looks like for each individual is different, but today I am thankful for my sister's continued healing, our family’s incredible strength and courage to endure, and the community God brought alongside me to help hold up my hands in praise and thankfulness, when I was too weak to do it on my own.
God does not forsake His people, and His word does not come back void, something He so eloquently reminded me on many occasions. Praise God for new beginnings and a love that endures forever. The sweetness of His presence, the power of His word, there is nothing that compares!
Thank you for your love, support, and constant prayers; forever grateful! Psalm 34
