His Ways are Higher, Broader, Lighter, and Brighter

Rest. Rest in God's love and His ways. Rest knowing He is working everything for the good of those who love Him. Rest for the purpose of resting and to spend time with Him. Rest and bring our loved ones before His throne in prayer. Rest in His schedule instead of expecting Him to fit in with ours.

Knowing who our God is allows us to rest in Him. So often we expect Him to fit in with the fast paced world we have created for ourselves, and all its scheduling, Apps, and attention seeking tools, instead of us taking the time to be guided by the Holy Spirit and His plans for the day. We don’t know who He has planned for us to meet today while running late and in the rain. Or perhaps that schedule that was so important to us, needs to be pushed back because there is someone who needs to turn up and just won’t make it on our timing. Or perhaps we have got ourselves in to such a frenzy He needs to quiet our mind so He can refresh our soul.
